Resumen:
A wide rang of novel multicomponent  amorphous alloys is to select a main component  for the primary property and alloyins additions for secondary properties. This atrategy has led to many succesful materials based on a single main component with a mix of different alloyin additiones to provide a balance of in-service properties. A typical example is high temperature superalloys for aeroengine applications, based on Ni with a high metling point and thermal stability and alloyin additions such as Cr for corrosion resistance and Al and Ti for strength.
