Resumen:
Neocryptolepine is an indoloquinoline alkaloid, isolated from Cryptolepis sanguinolenta. The isolation of the natural product, the numerous and different approaches towards its total synthesis, as well as its biological activity profile and spectroscopic studies, are discussed.
