Resumen:
The Yungas are an area of dense evergreen forests covering the eastern slopesof the Andes. Very few studies deal with the insects of this biotope. Here theresults of a fi rst study of the Tingidae (Insecta, Heteroptera) of these forests arepresented. New distribution and records of species, as well as descriptions ofthe fi fth instar larvae of Corythucha tapiensis, Dictyla monotropida, Gargaphiadissortis, Leptopharsa fi rma, Sphaerocysta angulata, Tigava pulchella are provided.Th e tingid fauna of the Yungas does not seem highly characteristic of this area,but it is poorly known, especially at high elevations.
