Resumen:
A new species of Litomosoides is described from sigmodontine murids from the rain forests of  Misiones, Argentina. Litomosoides anguyai n. sp., a parasite of the abdominal cavity of Oxymycterus misionalis, belongs to the sigmodontis group and is close to L. legerae and L. oxymycteri. The new species is differentiated by the salient amphids, an asymmetrical ring of the buccal capsule, by the arrangement of the head and tail papillae, and the shape and size of the microfilaria.
