In recent years, EST-UNSAM has been deeply rethinking the curriculum of the Secondary School and implementing new school formats. One of the most remarkable experiences was related to the interdisciplinary project-based teaching, specifically in the field of Natural Sciences in the oriented cycle of the Natural Sciences Bachelor´s degree. In this context, and with the support of the Secretaría de Políticas Universitarias of the Argentine Ministerio de Educación, a collaboration was established between the secondary school EST-UNSAM (in its Natural Sciences orientation) and the Institute of Environmental Research and Engineering (3iA) of UNSAM. In this work, we report the different stages of collaboration between EST-UNSAM and 3iA. We will present some details of the project-based teaching experience in Natural Sciences and attempt an analysis and reflection on this type of university extension initiatives and how they contribute to building and consolidating various networks: University - Community, University - Secondary School, Scientific Knowledge - Territorial Knowledge, among others.
