Massive material synthesis a subject of great interest to make possible the technological applications, for which preparation methods such as mechanical grinding are of great relevance. Its applications have been diverse in both the production of nanoparticles and dispersions, as well as the Soft Magnetic Composites (SMC) generation embedded in polymeric matrices, for low and medium performance applications. In this work, the operation of a high-energy ball mill was observed to obtain particles starting off a Fe78Si9B13 magnetic ribbon obtained by melt spinning. With variations in the programming of the mill in the speed (17.5Hz, 25 Hz, and 37 Hz) and the time (30 min, 45 min, and 1 hour), the structural change that arises in the particles during the process is shown. Through the analysis of X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the composition is studied, obtaining the result observed in the structures SiB6 , Fe0,91Si0,09, FeB, Fe2B and FeSi2, and the particles obtaining sizes between 27 𝜇𝑚 and 29𝜇m.
