Resumen:
The scope of the present work is to introduce an improvement to the second-order approximation to magnetic hysteresis curves. The addition of a new dB (B) function to the second-order rational ones presented by Rivas J. et al. for the upward and downward magnetic quasi-static hysteresis loop is proposed. The new semi-empirical approach is tested with known cycles of commercial Ni-ferrites (Ferroxcube). This procedure is extended to measurements on a Ni standard sample, using a VSM (Vibrating Sample Magnetometer). For this purpose, the typical loops and the proposed improvements to the approaches are also reported.
