Summary: Potential arthropod enemiesof thrips were evaluated, sampling weekly flowers of 58 weed plants in the vegetable producing area of La Plata (Buenos Aires Province, Argentina). Twenty two weed species sustained benefical arthropods, the most frequent being Orius insidiosus, mainly on Compositae like Carduus acanthoides, Eupatorium inulaefolium and Dipsacum sativus. A few specimens of the Phytoseiidae mites Neoseiulus californicus and Phytoseiulus macropilis were also found.
