New records and distribution extension of the Spectacled Petrel (Procellaria conspicillata) off the Argentine Continental Shelf and oceanic adjacent waters

The Spectacled Petrel Procellaria conspicillata is a breeding endemic of the archipelago of Tristan da Cunha, in the South Atlantic. However, it is scarcely detected in waters off Argentina beyond its traditional distribution along the South West Atlantic during the breeding season. This work compiles distributional records of Spectacled Petrel for the target area obtained in situ and from non-systematic observations at sea, between 2015 and 2018.
