NATIONAL PROGRAM FOR SCIENCE AND JUSTICE

Training on Yolanda Law

It is addressed to Public Prosecutors of the Argentine Republic. CONICET specialists are part of the teaching team.


The National Program for Science and Justice of CONICET was present at the virtual launch event of the training on Yolanda Law for Public Prosecutors of the Argentine Republic. This training is organized by the Council of Attorneys, Prosecutors, Defenders and General Advisers of the Argentine Republic and the Federal Criminal Policy Council and is intended for attorneys and prosecutors from all over the country.

The aim of these meetings is to address the issues of environment and sustainability, environment and crisis, environmental resources and society, energy, crisis and climate change, environmental human rights, environmental access rights, punitive environmental and repair protection and the case of household waste.

This training is part of the actions that aim to bring Science closer to Justice and is part of the agreement that links CONICET with the Council of Attorneys. The agreement aims to promote the links of scientific and technological cooperation and establish training, courses and technical advice.

On behalf of CONICET, the teaching team of the course is made up of Luciano Merini -researcher and member of the Program’s Advisory Council-, researchers Matilde Rusticucci and Paulina Martinetto and postdoctoral fellow Anabel Saran.

The coordinator of the National Program for Science and Justice, Mg. Germán Stalker, highlighted the strategic importance given to environmental problems by the PNCyJ, since it prioritizes specific activities of technical assistance and training for the judicial ecosystem, providing non-legal knowledge for the resolution of complex judicial cases.

During the launch event, the President of the Council of Attorneys, Prosecutors, Defenders and General Advisors of the Argentine Republic, Dr. Alejandro Gullé, and the Director of the training, Dr. Jorge Alberto Barraguirre, were present.
