Resumen:
    ABSTRACTThis study presents the current knowledge of diversity of the Poaceae family in the province of Jujuy, Argentina.Richness was analyzed at the following levels: subfamily, tribe, genus, species, subspecies, and variety. A total of 91genera, 373 species, and 23 infraspecific taxa of Poaceae were found in the province. The geographic distribution ofthe taxa by department, phytogeographic province, and altitudinal range was analyzed. Affinities of the Poaceae ofJujuy with other regions of the country, and neighboring countries, are also discussed. In addition, a total of 10 speciesand 2 varieties were found to be endemic in the province.Key words: Argentina, biodiversity, geographical distribution, Jujuy, Poaceae.
