Resumen:
Angular leaf spot (ALS) is a disease of bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) caused by the fungus Phaeoisariopsis griseola (Pg). It occurs in tropical and subtropical countries and has significant economic consequences. In recent years, the incidence of the disease has increased in many areas where common bean is cultivated, becoming a serious problem causing losses of up to 30%. In this chapter we summarize the knowledge of many and diverse contributions, and we highlighted what is known and unknown about the disease.
