Resumen:
Four species of Culicoides are recorded for the first time for Argentina: C. boliviensis Spinelli & Wirth, C. brasilianum Forattini, C. horticola Lutz and C. nigrigenus Wirth & Blanton. Besides, the first description and illustrations of the males of C. brasilianum, C. caridei (Brllthes) and C. saltaensis Spinelli & Wirth are provided.
