Resumen:
In this paper we study type-II intermittencyby means of the Perron-Frobenius operator. We calcu-late analytical expressions for the reinjection probabil-ity density (RPD) and the probability density of thelaminar lengths (RPDL) for several maps with type-II intermittency. The proposed theoretical RPDs andRPDLs are verified by numerical simulations. We carryout comparisons between the new RPD and RPDL func-tions with those obtained by a recent developed method-ology which uses an auxilar function (M (x) functionmethodology). Finally we found the advantages and dif-ficulties of both methodologies: Perron-Frobenius oper-ator and M (x) function.
