Resumen:
The taxonomy, systematics, distribution, and ecology of the bats (Order Chiroptera) of Argentina are reviewed. Fifty-seven species belonging to four families are considered. Taxonomic keys to families, subfamilies, genera, and species are included. Maps for the distribution of each species in Argentina are provided. Drawings of each species are included. Illustrations or photographs of skulls are provided for all species. Species accounts provide data on taxonomy, specimens examined, additional records of occurrence, standard external and cranial morphological measurements, reproduction, molting, habitat preferences, general natural history, and other information.
