Resumen:
It is well know that actinobacteria are useful in soil bioremediation, moreover, actinobacteria promote plants development. In this chapter we review plant-actinobacteria interaction in soil bioremediation processes. Actinobacteria protect sensitive plants under heavy metal stress, promoting their development and decreasing the metal accumulation. Moreover, there exists a cooperative action between Streptomyces sp. MC1 and Zea mays, decreasing significantly the bioavailable Cr(VI), in soils contaminated with this metal. A successful bioremediation processes can be performed using actinobacteria and plants.
