Resumen:
The use of remote labs has been exponentially growing over the last decades. They provide not only an alternative to develop experimental competences, but also a complementary tool to aid students in autonomous study. Furthermore, the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools can provide a stimulus for todays? young people generation since they have been immersed in a world infused with network and digital technologies. Since the development of experimental competences is fundamental in engineering, several remote labs have been developed and enhanced over the years. Virtual Instrument Systems in Reality (VISIR), a remote lab developed by Bleckinge Institute of Technology (BTH) in Sweden, deals with electricity and electronics experiments and was considered in 2015 the best electronic remote lab in the world by the Executive Committee of Global Online Laboratory Consortium. Several VISIR systems already exist in Europe as well as in Asia (India), and with VISIR+ Project, it became possible to spread its usage throughout Latin America (Brazil and Argentina). Reaching the midterm point, VISIR+ Project is now assessing the preliminary results in order to improve and refine the following tasks.
