Resumen:
A new formulation for the multi-period optimization of production planning and blending problems in a conventional oil reservoir with fixed topology is presented. The proposed model determines the production of each well and the blending of crude oils to meet sulfur requirements of the clients (i.e., petroleum refineries), considering the pipes, valves and manifolds among wells and tanks through an integrated formulation. Also, the nonlinear behaviour of well flowing pressure with respect to time is considered. The model is formulated using Generalized Disjunctive Programming (GDP) and reformulated as a Mixed Integer Nonlinear Programming (MINLP) problem with the Big-M relaxation. Numerical results show that wells production planning is affected by sulfur specification. The model was implemented using the GAMS modelling system and case studies instances solved using DICOPT++.
