Resumen:
We applied a modeling tool for linking molecular architecture of low-density polyethylene produced in high-pressure tubular reactors to linear viscoe-lastic behavior. The modeling approach applies a rheological model based on the reptation theory to connect molecular structure, in terms of molecular weight dis-tribution, to the shear viscosity flow curve. The model is validated against exper-imental data of low-density polyethylene produced in an industrial reactor.
