Resumen:
In this review the preparation, structure and properties of solid-state extruded polyethylene are discussed. First a brief consideration is given to several existing preparation methods.This is followed by a description of morphological changes during the extrusion process. The physical and mechanical properties are analyzed to some extent, to provide the necessary background to further discuss the morphological changes undergone by the polymer. The temperature effects on mechanical and thermal properties are presented as a necessary tool to understand the structural models properties.
