Resumen:
La Plata Basin and the Argentinian Pampas are two of the most important agricultural regions of the world. In the last decades the areas devoted to agricultural production over these regions have been extended at the expense of deforestation and replacement of natural pastures. These changes in the surface conditions plays an important role in the regional climate as a local forcing. But, the regional climate is determined by the interaction of diverse forcings, remote, regional and local forcings in different time- and space-scales. The remote forcings as El Niño/La Niña exert an important role in LPB climate trough the influence of the sea surface temperature anomalies. In this work the modulation of the climate response to remote forcing (due to opposite phase of ENSO)due to local forcings (related with land use/land cover changes) is analyzed.
