Here, we present a protocol for infecting Aedes aegypti mosquitoes with Zika virus(ZIKV) (Flaviviridae) using a glass artificial feeder that mimics natural feedingconditions. We describe steps for preparing adult mosquitoes, assembling thefeeder, mixing the infectious blood meal, and conducting infection experiments.The feeder incorporates a bovine gut membrane and a thermostatic circulator tomaintain the blood meal at 37◦C, ensuring consistent feeding and reproducibleinfection outcomes.For complete details on the use and execution of this protocol, please refer toBonica et al
