Resumen:
In general TiO2 is recognized as the most efficient, non-toxic and stable photocatalyst. Mechanistically, the photocatalyst TiO2 is first exited by UV light and subsequently initiates the photodegradation process. In previous investigations, the characteristics of two dissimilar Titania (TiO2) mesoporous materials obtained by different synthetic routes: (1) Titania mesosized particles via  TiCl4 hydrolysis in Aerosol OT/water/n-hexane microemulsion; (2) via Isopropoxide   (Ti (IV) (iPrO)4) were evaluated by usual techniques for mesoporous materials: Microscopic (TEM, Transmission electron microscopy), Diffraction (XRD, X-ray diffraction) and Spectroscopic (FT-IR, Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopic) techniques and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms. In the present work, another technique for characterization (IS, impedance spectroscopy technique) was used on our materials. Our results showed that the different synthetic ways involved different electric behaviours and this fact are related with theirs adsorption properties. Furthermore two new TiO2/Ag2O hybrid materials were synthesized: (1) via Isopropoxide (Ti (IV) (iPrO)4) + AgNO3 solution (0.01M); (2) via Isopropoxide (Ti (IV) (iPrO)4) + AgNO3 solution (0.05M),  to study the influence of silver cation on the Titania photocatalytic properties. These new materials were characterized too by same techniques as mentioned above and tested their adsorption properties for elimination of reactive dyes from aqueous solutions. The obtained results give further of light on the properties of adsorption process and their electric behavior as a temperature function.  Este trabajo no pudo incluirse en el libro de resúmenes a causa de la falta de fondos para el pago de inscripción. El mismo fue aceptado por los revisores del Congreso y dio lugar a un trabajo que se encuentra en proceso de evaluación.
