Resumen:
In this work, the results of the Odontesthesbonariensis intensive culture experiment arepresented. It was performed in two stages, the firstone, just born larvae were bred during 27 days in twotons circular tanks, indoor, and were fed with naupliusof Artemia and artificial food. The second stage wascarried out outdoor, in two sections of 50 m2 (A and B)of one pond of 100 m2 previously fertilized. In both, the initial densities were 280 ind/m2. The juvenileswere fed with natural zooplankton and artificial food. The breeding process ended at 89 days. Sampleswere taken periodically in order to obtain informationto calculate length and weight growth, survival rates, biomass, production and natural food availability. Thefinal average lengths were 73.9 and 59.7 mm;average weights 3.59 and 1.79 g; survival of 39.37and 73.19% and productions of 3 907 and3 623 kg/ha/62 day, were obtained in A and Brespectively. These production values are the highestreported in Argentina for pejerrey.
