Resumen:
The present study involves the synthesis and characterization of novel magnetic composites from agricultural waste and iron oxidenanoparticles (Fe3O4, MNPs) and their potential in water purification. Sun flower husk was pre-treated with alkali and acid solution.The magnetic composites were obtained by incorporating sunflower husk (pre and non-pretreated) on the MNPs co-precipitationmedia. Raw materials and composites were characterized by SEM, TEM, FTIR and DRX. The surface charge of adsorbent materialwas estimated by z potential measurements and the average hydrodynamic size was determined by DLS data. Their performance inwater remediation was evaluated in in batch experiences employing lead and dichlorvos as model of heavy metals and pesticidespollutants.
