Resumen:
The relationship between chemicalstructure and the binding characteristics between some bile salts and human serum albumin were obtained by a conductimetric method at low ionic strength. The nature of the binding was investigated by means of thermodynamic parameters (DG°, DH° and DS°). Negative enthalpic and positive entropy values obtained suggested that trihydroxy bile salts bound by electrostatic interactions as driving forces, while di- and monohydroxy bile salts are bound by electrostatic interaction and hydrophobic effect, as driving forces.
