SUMMARY Oxigen consumption in Belostoma oxyurum (Dufour), (Hemiptera elostomatidae) at different thermal regimes. The oxigen consuption in Belostoma oxyurum was studied under controlled conditions of temperature. The specimens used during the laboratory experiences, which included all nymphal instars and adult stage, were obtained from Los Talas pond, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was necesary to develop a system adecuate to the requeriments of the meiofauna fraction. Therefore, a dispositive adapted to seriate experiences such as the one based on the Warburg manometer with regulated temperature, was used.
