SUMMARY; EFECTS OF ANIONIC DETERGENTS ON SURVIVAL AND ENERGETIC METABOLISM RATE OF Palaemonetes argentinus Nobili (DECAPODA NATANTIA). - Data on the effects of pollutants on fresh water fauna are rare in Argentina. This is probably due to the abscense of standard methods for measuring such effects. In this paper, the first results of research in relation with the toxicity of anionic detergents upon metabolis rate and mortality of P. argenlinus are incorporated.
