One of the main problems of any quantum resource theory is the characterization of the conversions between resources by the free operations of the theory.In this talk, I will advance on this problem within the quantum coherence resource theory. In particular, I will introduce a definition of coherence vector for an arbitrary quantum state. I will show that this coherence vector fully characterizes the notions of being incoherent, as well as being maximally coherent.In addition, exploiting properties of the majorization lattice, I will show a necessary condition for the conversion of general quantum states through incoherent operations. Finally, I will show how to obtain a new family of coherence quantifiers based on this generalized coherence vector.
