Resumen:
The present work describes the implementation of a receiver based ona ?software defined radio? system used to make radio observations of pulsating stars. Thanks to new data acquisition technologies, this type of receiver can be configured with programs on personal computers, allowing great flexibility when defining their use. We present the programs developed for observation and further processing of pulsar data in the radio continuum; these programs facilitate evaluationof observations on low intensity pulsars and millisecond pulsars. In order to evaluate the performance of this implementation, the main antenna of the Instituto Argentino de Radioastronom ia was used to do radio observations of pulsars at 1413 MHz. The measured pulsars periods are then compared to those previously cataloged.
