Resumen:
The Pierre Auger Observatory is a hybridinstrument that records the longitudinal, lateral andtemporal particle distributions of very high-energyair showers and is sensitive to their electromagneticand muonic components. Such observables dependon energy and on the type of primary particle thatinitiates the shower and are sensitive to the hadronicinteraction properties. Independent analyses of thecombined distributions and direct tests of the predictionsof hadronic interaction models are performedat ≃ 1019 eV, which corresponds to √s ≃ 140 TeVfor proton primaries.
