Resumen:
The azimuthal asymmetry in the timedistribution of shower particles detected by a groundarray offers a new possibility for the determinationof the mass composition. The dependence of thisasymmetry on atmospheric depth shows a clear maximumat a value that is correlated with the primarymass. In this work a novel method to determine masscomposition based on these features of the groundsignals is presented.
