Crabs are highly visual animals that exhibit elaborated visual guidedbehaviours. They use visual information for visuomotor control andnavigation, as well as for intra- and inter-specific interactions (Backwell etal. 2000, Christy 1988a,b, Land and Layne 1995a,b, Woodbury 1986).However, the neurons and neuronal circuits supporting most crab´sBehaviours are still unknown.
