The First World War seen from a peripheral non-belligerent country as Argentina is as much an analysis of the local consequences of a global war, as a study of how the cultural diplomacy of the belligerents was molded after the social war mobilization in the South American country. Being this one of the main hypothesis of María Inés Tato´s original work, the study-case of Argentina in the First World War almost neglected by the historiography until recently represents an important contribution to the renewed field of cultural war studies and to the study field of global history.
