Resumen:
Of the 38 species in the genus Physalaemus (Duell- man, 1993; Lobo, 1993), the tadpoles of 13 have been described. Argentine species in the Physalaemus biligonigerus group include P. biligonigerus, P. nattereri, and P santafecinus. Larvae of the first two species have been described by Vizzotto (1967) and Fernandez and Fer- nandez (1921) respectively. We present data on the external morphology and buccopharyngeal features of the tadpole of Physalaemus santafecinus and provide comparisons with the larvae of the other species of the P. biligonigerus group.
