Resumen:
Inherent optical properties (IOPs) are key in understanding the biogeochemical processes of coastal marine waters by providing proxies for a variety of biogeochemical quantities, including phytoplankton pigments (IOCCG , 2000; Bricaud et al., 2004).Water quality degradation poses a significant threat to marine ecosystems leading to the decline of ecosystem services and the survival of organisms (Bierman et al., 2011),The integration of optical satellite data with in-situ measurements offers a promising approach to address the study and monitoring of coastal waters influenced by human activities.
