Resumen:
The commensalism and parasitism interactions with Chilean inland water crustaceans are poorly studied because the lacks of studies on these crustacean species. The aim of the present study was to analyze the presence of Temnocephala chilensis, an ectocomensal on Parastacus pugnax population. Specimens on P. pugnax were collected on Southern Chile flooded plain, and it were quantified the T. chilensis specimens in the caparace. It had not correlation between T. chilensis number with total length and total weight. It was done a randomness test that indicated that T. chilensis has an aggregated pattern. In a posterior step In aAlso second step, it was found a negative binomial distribution pattern. Similar patterns were found in studies with parasites and with benthic fauna.
