Resumen:
Thermodynamic measurements of equilibrium oxygen partial pressure (Po2) as a functionof oxygen content at I173K have been performed on Lal.84Sr0.16CuOy. Thesemeasurements confLrrned the presence of traces of an impurity phase of the typeLas_xSrxCu8020 (an oxygen-deficient, perovskite structure) which is always present insintered La2_xSrxCuOy type oxides.Samples of Lal.84Sr0.16CuOy with controlled oxygen content were prepared taking intoaccount the amount of oxygen related to this impurity phase. The superconductingproperties of these samples were studied through ac susceptibility and a correlation whereT c decreases as the oxygen content decreases was found.
