Resumen:
The most relevant properties for consolidated waste forms are discussed in theliramework of production technologies. In this context, two well estabilishedtechniques, namely, the sol-gel process for matrix preparation and in-can hotpressing for matrix densification, were selected on the basis of their simplicityand suitability for remote handling conditions and applied for consolidationof 15 wt.% of High Level Waste (HLW) in a TiO doped SiO glass-ceramicmatrix. The dissolution behaviour of the products zas studied2by the MCC-2method and the mechanical properties tested by Vicker's indentation.
