Resumen:
Thermogravimetric studies of the combustion kinetics of sucrose carbon with varius impurities. mainlyvanadium and lead, show V to be a strong catalyst of the oxidation under conditions of chemical control of thereaction, whereas Pb increases the apparent activation energy of the reaction. To some extent, the addition of Pbcounteracts the effect of vanadium. The “compensation effect” between the activation energy and the frequencyfactor is operative in all cases studied. The transition between chemical and diffusion control correlates withisokinetic temperatures in some of the samples.
