Resumen:
Thermodynamic measurements of the equilibrium oxygen partialpressure as a function of the oxygen content have been performed inNd I.85CeO.ISCu1.010v at 900°e. These measurements suggest thepresence of two kinds of defects: interstitial oxygen atoms for P02higher than the one corresponding to the thermodynamic equilibriumCUO-CU20 (1.4 x 10- 2atm) and oxygen vacancies for oxygen partialpressure below this value. The superconducting transition of sampleswith controlled oxygen content was studied through MagneticallyModulated Microwave Absorption (MaMMA). The superconductingtransition was observed only for samples quenched at P02 lower than1.4 x 10- 2atm. These results confirm that in order to obtainsuperconductivity in this material interstitial oxygen atoms must beremoved from its structure.
