Resumen:
Large weight loss and lignin degradation were statistically unrelated. C. pinsitus and Hyphodontia sp. were the only strains found to produce both large weight losses and selectivity on E. grandis and E. Globulus respectively. the highest lignin removal selectivity values were shown by C. pinsitus on E. grandis and Phanerochaete chrysosporium on E. globulus. Ganoderma Lucidum showed high selectivity to remove lignin from both timbers. P. tigrinus produced the richest cellulose residue on both Eucalyptus spp.
