Resumen:
The objective of this work is the improvement of the mechanical properties of PP/PS blends by in-situ compatibilization. For this purpose the Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction with AlCl3/Styrene catalytic system was used. Several catalyst concentration reactive blends were performed, testing and analyzed. Good tensile mechanical properties improvement with low catalyst content was obtained. The results were discussed and understood through morphological aspects and based polymers structure variation.
