Sediments were processed following conventional . The specimens were mounted and photographed with SEM. Six species of non-marineostracods: Darwinula stevensoni, Heterocypris incongruens, Vestalenula danielopoli, Penthesilenula in Tucuman province, northwestern Argentina. The fact that all these fossil specieshave living representatives means that there is a direct interaction with modern analogues from the ecologicalpoint of view of functional morphology and evolution. Based on the characters of the fossil taxa, theassociation indicates shallow environments probably oligohaline lagoons, developed under temperate with the previously cited by Gavriloff and Bossi (1992) and Espindola et al. (2009), add to a better understandingof the whole microfauna in this formation.
