Resumen:
n this paper we study the behavior of thermal parameters (cooling rates, temperature gradients and velocities and accelerations of the interphases), analyzing the obtained structures in the samples after solidification, in order to relate the properties of the Zn-27wt.% Al alloys (weight percent) when they are solidified in a horizontal device by extracting heat in two opposite directions. In addition, the Niyama numbers, Ny, were determined in these alloys, which are related to the macroporosity. Ny are critical numbers from which the macroporosity in the samples is evident.
