Comparative evaluation of bacterial adherence to surfaces

Metal (Al-Brass, copper and SS304) and polymeric (PE) samples were compared in relation to their behavior as substrates for bacterial adherence. A statistic analysis of the population distributions giving relevant differences between samples is presented and Results are related with the surface hydrophobicity and the oxide layer composition.
