Resumen:
We
report here the electric-field-gradient (EFG) hyperfine characterization at 111Cd
impurities located at both inequivalent
cation sites of the bixbyite structure
of Lutetium sesquioxide, in the
temperature range RT-1273 K. The results are compared with those coming from the systematic TDPAC
study in bixbyites and with predictions performed within the point-charge
model. The anomalous EFG temperature dependence observed in
Lu2O3 is explained in the frame of a ?two-states? model with fluctuating interactions,
which enables the determination of the aceptor energy level introduced by Cd
ions in the semiconductor matrix.
