Resumen:
P. cynanchoides (Bignoniaceae) has white flowers whith yellowcenter, lasting from the beginning of the spring until the end ofthe summer. As a contribution to the knowledge of the seeds forornamental production we evaluated the germination in 3different treatments: soak in water for 24 hours; absence ofseminal wing and control. Six months after the collection ofseeds, carried out in June 2011 in Valle Fértil, San Juan; 25seeds were placed in paper tray by germination moistened withdistilled water at 21 °C (± 1 ºC) with photoperiod of 12/12hlight/dark, with 4 replications per treatment. The results wereanalyzed with ANOVA and Tukey´s test (α=0.05) using theInfoStat (vers1.1). Under the three treatments we obtainedgermination percentages greater than 95 %, no significantdifferences were found between treatments. We obtained 100%germination when membranous wings were removed from theseeds. Variables studied had no influence on the germination ofthe species. The data suggest the feasibility of the species to itsproduction as ornamental.
