The purpose of this study is to review and complete previous analyses of the ceramic fabrics of Tell el-Ghaba and present an updated classification of Egyptian (Nile and Marl clays) and imported fabrics from the Eastern Mediterranean. It is important to clarify that this review is intended to provide a detailed overview of the diversity of fabrics, and not to establish precise provenance areas, since the fabric characterisation was based on observations at low magnification (10x-80x), complemented with a limited sample of thin sections without conducting further compositional(chemical)analyses.
