Tell el-Ghaba shows an important number and diversity of non local vessels which reflect commercial ties particularly with Eastern Mediterranean societies, so as commercial relations with. Although the study of the imported ceramic is in process, the goal of this paper is to present a preliminary characterization of the fabric types identified at the moment and the methodology applied for the analysis. Complete covariations among fabrics, morphologies and decorations are presented in Volume 1, so as their provenience areas and the containers uses.
